The “Quarterdeck Summer Bar” is located in the Basel harbor and, as the name suggests, is a meeting place for the hotter months of the year. Inspired by a wide variety of destinations, the homemade drinks take you on a sea voyage around the world. You can also enjoy classic and non-alcoholic drinks on the sun-protected deck.
The quarterdeck refers to the usually raised area of the upper deck behind the mainmast. On warships, only the captain, officers and midshipmen were allowed to stay there. In keeping with the name of the bar, we are giving the well-known Captain James Cook a summery look and bringing him into today. The bright colors also help create the desired summer feeling. When creating the logo, we were inspired by old, hand-painted boat names.
